Biography

Katrina Kaif (born July 16, 1984[1]) is a model and Bollywood actress.

One of 8 siblings, Katrina was born on July 16, 1984, in Hong Kong to British parents, her father being of Kashmiri origin. She grew up in Hawaii and then moved to London.

Katrina Kaif is one amonst the most attractive Bollywood actress of the recent times. There are a few reasons which shot Katrina to overnight fame. the major amongst them were the rumors bout her affair with Salman Khan, her work in Boom. But the most important of them all is her unusual beauty.

Katrina Kaif steeped int he world of Bollywood with "Boom". the movie was not a success because of the major shortcomings. She also did 'Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya' with Salman Khan and 'Sarkar' with Abhishek Bachchan.

Though she has not govena very bog ht till date yet the day is not far when she will emerge out as a successful actress. On a personal note she says that she finds herself comfortable in wearing not so revealing clothes. She is an introvert and does not entertain going to too many parties.


Career

At the age of 14, Kaif started modeling for a jewelry campaign in London, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom. She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her because of her linguistic shortcomings, such as her inability to speak Hindi. Films that did feature her usually had her voice dubbed over by a native speaker of the film's language. This changed with the film, Namastey London,along side Akshay Kumar & later Apne, in which she dubbed her own lines.
